Texas Hill Country with Elegant Rides

Recently my best girlfriends were in town celebrating their birthdays and we got to take a tour of Texas Hill Country wineries with Elegant Rides. The day was perfect! Every detail of our itinerary was planned out by Teryn {follow along on Instagram @elegant_tours to see some of the other tours she plans}, we were picked up from my house by our chauffeur, Bruce, and the weather was absolutely gorgeous for sipping wine in the sunshine! {BTW all outfit details can be found at the bottom of this post!}

Elegant Rides is family owned and operated and treats each guest like family, going the extra mile to make your day perfect. Your tour can be customized based on your interests, whether it be wine, food, beer, spirits … or in my case instagrammable spot PLUS good wine. All the locations we went to were gorgeous! {If you missed my stories that day, check them out on my “Hill Country” IG highlight.} If you’re looking for a reliable tour company in the San Antonio and Austin area, I cannot recommend them enough!

We started our day in Hill Country with a tasting at Grape Creek Vineyards. As soon as you step foot onto the the property it almost feels like you’re not in Texas anymore, or at least like you’re in some Napa version of Texas! The vineyards and tasting rooms are gorgeous and they are in the process of building this new glass building to house their sparkling wines that is going to be stunning! They have a restaurant on the grounds and we were able to enjoy lunch there as well, which was delish!

Next, we literally went right across the street to a newer winery, Signor Vineyards. If Grape Creek was Texas Napa, then Signor is Texas Otago {New Zealand’s wine region}. The aesthetic is like a modern farm; all white and black and trendy with gorgeous flowers everywhere and of course, the most Instagrammable “Wine Barn”. Some of their wines are actually brought in from Oregon {my favorite Pinots are from there!} and are SO good. I actually never wanted to leave this spot! It’s a must do if you’re in Texas Hill Country!

The last stop for the day was Baron’s Creek. Another beautiful winery that would make for a gorgeous wedding venue! We sat outside by their fountain and enjoyed a bottle of red and a massive cheese board. It was my first time eating cheese in over a year and it did not disappoint!

Bruce drove us through the town of Fredericksburg on the way home. It looked so quaint and perfect, I have to go back to explore! The drive back to San Antonio is long, but when you’re not the one doing the driving, you can relax and enjoy the scenery {the wildflowers were in full bloom!} and it’s perfection!

I hope y’all get to take a trip to Texas Hill Country soon, and if you do, definitely give Elegant Rides a call to set up your tour!

Cheers!

x, Gretchen
