Today I’m sharing two holiday cocktail recipes! These are perfect for cozying up around the Christmas tree after the presents are all opened and Christmas Dinner is in the oven. One is gin (my absolute favorite because it makes me feel like I’m a Jazz Age socialite hanging with Gatsby) and the other is made with a Hawaiian coffee rum. I added flavors like pomegranate, cider, and ginger to give these drinks a warm wintery taste. I hope you enjoy them and have fun making them with your loved ones this holiday season!
Pomegranate Gin Fizz
Start by removing the seeds from the pomegranate. To do this, cut a circle around the top or “stem” and pop it out then cut down the sides make 3-4 sections. Use your thumb to pull back a section then start removing the seeds. Set aside
Add the gin, pomegranate juice, and tonic to a shaker cup. Shake vigorously then pour over a ice sphere( click here for my favorite ice molds) into a highball glass. Garnish with the pomegranate seeds.
Coffee Rum Cider
- 1.5 oz. Koloa Coffee Rum
- 2 oz apple cider (I have used pumpkin apple cider in this before and it’s even better!)
- Splash of ginger beer
- Cinnamon stick
Add the Rum, cider, and ginger beer to a shaker. Shake it up! Pour over a ice sphere into a highball glass. Garnish with the cinnamon stick.
